Single Stamp Purchasing Now Available

Stamping Up is at it again!
You can now purchase your "must have" stamps ONE STAMP AT A TIME!
I am still a huge fan of the stamp "set" as it allows me
to create beautiful compositions for my cards quite easily; however, sometimes a girl just needs that ONE perfect stamp. Now is your chance to purchase YOUR one "must have" stamp!

The images are below, but you can also get a better look on my Web site.
Simply use the "Single Stamps" image seen to the right of this post.
It will take you directly to the area where these Single Stamps are available for viewing and for purchasing.
You may order your stamp through me, or directly purchase it from my Web site.

Contact me if you have any questions!

Life is a matter of Moments

Just a quick little something from previous projects

The hummingbird was stamped with Concord Crush, that is how long ago I created this card. I then cut the hummingbird out and layered it on the Whisper White CS that had the Wedding Sweet "swirl" stamped in crumb cake (I believe).

Black/White Blending

Blending to create a Black and White image.

The image was shaded using a blender pen and a variety of shades of gray. The top layer is the Top Note image, cut with my Sizzix machine. I then ran it through again, cutting out the oval shape. This layer was then run through again with the polka dot embossing folder (one of my frequent "go-to" items). I then layered this on top of the CS that the stamped/colored image, which had already been run through the tulip frame embossing folder. These layers were then placed on a black card base.

Polka Dot Heart

Using my heart cut-out from a previous project.

This is a quick and simple card. The heart was cut out of a Whisper White CS square that I used on my Ribbon Heart card (see last post). I stamped the black image first (and let the ink dry completely) then I ran the heart through the polka dot embossing folder.  Easy peasy!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Ribbon Heart

Another card using the negative of a cut-out!

To create the top layer of this card, I used the Whisper White CS and cut out a large heart (using the Sizzix Framelits from Stampin' Up). I saved the cut heart for another project, and then ran the left over Whisper White CS with the heart removed through my Sizzix using the polka-dot embossing folder.

The next layer below was a square that is cut slightly smaller than the polka-dot top-layer. I wrapped ribbon strips (coordinating the colors) on that second layer. This is a great use for your small left-over pieces of ribbon. When adhering the top layer to the ribbon layer, be sure to use strong adhesive -- I used glue dots. You want to make sure the top layer is securing attached.

This "sandwich" is then adhered to a black base (I love how a black frame helps the top layer POP off the card). All of these layers were then adhered to a white card base.(You could just use the black layer as the card base if you like -- the added layer did make this card rather heavy!)

Come back in a couple of days to see how I used the heart cut-out that wasn't used in this card. It made for a very simple, quick card

Happy Stamping!

Champagne Christmas

The new champagne glitter paper from Stampin' Up is beautiful! I love it!

To make this card, I used two layers of Whisper White card stock to create the 3-D effect for the ornament. These are layered on top of the glitter paper, which then sits on top of a Cherry Cobbler card base.

To create the 3-D effect for the ornament (hopefully you can see that it is not actually a flat image), I used the negative of a cut image. (Rather than using the cut out of the ornament, I actually used the surrounding part of the paper that is left once you pull the cut image out of the way -- use the cut ornament on another project, or use it inside the card for a fun surprise!) The trick is to center the cut out so that it lands where you need it to land on the card. I used dimensionals to pop that top layer up a bit.  The bottom layer of Whisper White was dry-embossed with a criss-cross pattern using my wonderful scoring tool with the diagonal insert.  I enhanced the look with some of my Stickles.  The trick with this bottom layer is to make sure it is cut smaller than the top layer, ensuring that it's edges don't poke out on the sides.  The final touch on the Whisper White image was to use my paper piercing tool, using the template that matches our ornament framelits! All the coordinating tools make this card so incredibly easy to make!

Have fun trying this out on your own cards! You can make so many great looks using the negative of your punched paper -- use the punched image on one project and the leftover piece on a second project!

Thanks for stopping by! I am looking forward to sharing more Christmas cards over the next several weeks. I just love stamping this time of year.

Happy Stamping!

The Earth Laughs in Flowers

My direct upline (Maureen, the original CSL) had a birthday in July.
I thought it would be nice to give her flowers.

I'm sorry that this second picture is so blurry -- apparently I moved when I took the picture. But I wanted you to see the vase I put these flowers in. It was one of those great finds some place, but I can't remember where. I filled it with clear glass pebbles.
The roses were made with Daffodil Yellow card stock, and then I sponged them with Tangerine Tango. I used Garden Green for the leaves. And I adhered the roses to a stick you would use to make candy (lollypop sticks). I just wrapped the white sticks with our Always Artichoke Seam Binding ribbon.

This was a fun item to make. It was so cheerful. And it made me feel so good -- I went to visit her in her office yesterday at work (we work together), and she still has these on her desk. Paper flowers last SO long! HeeHeeHee. I am glad that she enjoyed them.

Thanks for stopping in today -- now go find your inspiration and get to creating!!

Paper Roses

Another blast from the past. I found another post that never got published. This was supposed to be published in April 2010. Well -- lucky you -- you get to see it now. :-)

My fellow stamping sister, Julie (SimiStamper), who is part of our CSL group (Crazy Stamping Ladies), is just so incredibly creative! You have to check out her blog! This woman has SO much talent!! She has a wonderful tutorial posted for creating paper roses. Here is my first attempt at making a card with her paper roses:

Here is a close-up of these roses -- We use the large flower punch to create them.

You can find Julie's Tutorial here:
http://simistamper.blogspot.com/2010/02/instructions-for-paper-rose.html

I used her recipe for the roses (Orchid Opulence Paper sponged all-over with Rich Razzleberry, with the edges sponged in Orchid Opulence). The Trellis (Stampin' Up/Sizzix Bigz Die) is made using Pretty in Pink paper. The leaves are in Always Artichoke, punched with the Bird Punch (I just used the branch portion of the punched image). The card base is Confetti White (one of my favorites). I then added 1/2 pearls from the Pretties Kit (these are the largest of three sizes you receive in the kit). And then added the white ribbon. I didn't add a sentiment just yet, as I still am not sure who I will send this card to... But I think I will only add a sentiment to the inside of the card (I just don't want to clutter up the front).

I hope you enjoy the card! Thank you for stopping by today!
Happy Stamping!

3D Flowers

Art from the Past
Apparently I created a post and never actually published it!! This photo is from back in spring 2010 -- the card below was created for a design challenge in our CSL (Crazy Stampin' Ladies) downline meeting.

One of the other CSLs taught us how to create paper roses (see SimiStamper's blog and search on "paper roses"). Inspired by her creativity, I created this card. I have three paper roses, and then added two paper Star-Gazer Lilies.

Here is a close up of the flowers:

The card recipe:
Bride DSP sponged with Melon Mambo (soooo glad that is coming back!)
Black CS
Presto Patterns DSP (left white, but you can sponge it or brayer it to make those designs POP)
Black Satin Ribbon
Pretty in Pink Card Base (and used for Roses)
Sentiment: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Punches: Modern Label, Word Window, and Scallop Trim Border
Stargazer Lilies: 5-Petal Flower, Watercolor Paper, Melon Mambo and Yo Yo Yellow Inks, with Hemp Twine
Roses: Fancy Flower Extra Large, Pretty in Pink paper, Chunky Glitter

Halloween Card Swap

It is that time again -- Halloween crafts start taking place! I created the card above for a card-swap that I participated in through the mail. This group of ladies are from back east; well, at least the coordinator of the swap is from Minnesota. I have never met them in person. But we all share a love for stamping, and we are all Stampin' Up demonstrators. Being a part of Stampin' Up is like having a wonderful extended family from all over!! And it is so much fun to mail off 10 cards that I have made, and then wait to see what I receive in return. I will try to post some of the other cards (once I get permission from the creators). The theme was Autumn, so we have a few Halloween cards and a few cards with beautiful autumn colors.  ALL the cards featured items from our Holiday Mini Catalog and our 2012-13 Idea Book.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a beautiful day!
Happy Stamping....

Retired Stamp Sets for Sale!

Springtime cleaning means great deals on retired stamp sets! I have 140 stamp sets (well, maybe 139) that I am selling! I will be opening my home on June 21 for people to come purchase these sets, but if you happen upon this site prior to that, and if you want to purchase a few sets, then please contact me! (First come first served!)  I will ship your sets to you, but will split the shipping charges with you. So let's talk! Email me at putnamstamper@yahoo.com with your name and email address if you would like to make a purchase!

Here is my list. I will update the list if things happen to sell. Things that are marked "converted" means that they were at one time mounted on wood blocks. I removed them and have the image adhered to the back of the rubber stamp. You will need to use a bit of removable adhesive on these so that they will stick to your acrylic block. It works just fine -- and I actually like it better because they actually stick to acrylic!
